At Little Independent, our approach focuses on empowering children by fostering their curiosity, growth mindset, and autonomy. By cultivating an environment that allows for exploration, children develop their self-confidence, skillset, and knowledge through their experiences.
Growth Mindset
A growth mindset is having the understanding that mistakes are learning opportunities. Studies have shown that children with a growth mindset are more resilient, creative, and confident in their actions. We foster a growth mindset by providing children with appropriately challenging work and praising their problem-solving efforts.
Autonomy
Every child is capable of helping themselves if given the autonomy to practice. We promote independence by encouraging children to choose for themselves and explore within limits. Children strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through autonomous actions.
Curiosity
Young children are inherently curious about the world. For children to sustain their concentration, they must have access to fascinating opportunities. To foster curiosity and strengthen their attentiveness, we provide children with various materials and activities that activate the senses. This allows the sensory learners to choose work that interests them while building their cognitive foundation.
